Service Description

The Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor course is designed for experienced healthcare professionals who want to teach Basic Life Support. This course prepares instructor candidates to effectively train others in high-performance CPR, AED use, airway management, and team-based response in pre-hospital and in-facility settings. Participants will learn the following: Teach the Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course using approved curricula Deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate realistic, team-based training scenarios Conduct skills assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners Manage class logistics, including registration, equipment setup, and certification processing Use Red Cross teaching tools, digital resources, and administrative systems to support training delivery Certification Requirements: Hold a current American Red Cross BLS certification or equivalent Demonstrate strong proficiency in all BLS skills during a pre-course assessment **The course will include an online portion as well as classroom instruction and practical, hands-on skill sessions. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognized Red Cross certification, valid for two years.**
