Service Description
The Red Cross CPR Instructor course is designed to prepare individuals to teach life-saving skills in CPR, AED, and First Aid to a variety of audiences, including workplace responders, school staff, community members, and professional rescuers. This instructor-level training equips participants with the tools and techniques needed to deliver high-quality instruction, evaluate participant performance, and manage course logistics in accordance with Red Cross standards. Participants will learn the following: Effectively teach and facilitate CPR (Adult, Child, Infant), AED, and First Aid courses Use Red Cross training materials and digital resources Manage classroom environments and adapt teaching for different learning styles Provide accurate demonstrations and guide hands-on practice sessions Conduct skills assessments and issue certifications Understand Red Cross administrative procedures and course record-keeping Certification Requirements: Must possess a current certification in Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid Demonstrate proficiency in all required CPR/AED and First Aid skills during a pre-course skill assessment **The course will include an online portion as well as classroom instruction and practical, hands-on skill sessions. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognized Red Cross certification, valid for two years.**
