Service Description
The Red Cross Emergency Medical Response (EMR) certification course is an advanced-level training program designed for individuals who are likely to be the first on the scene of a medical emergency and need skills to respond effectively before advanced medical personnel arrive. This course bridges the gap between basic first aid and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training, providing participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide immediate, life-saving care. Participants will learn the following: Conduct primary and secondary assessments Provide airway management and ventilation support Administer CPR and use of an AED on adults, children, and infants Control bleeding and manage shock, trauma, and other medical emergencies Stabilize musculoskeletal injuries and perform patient extrication **The course will include an online portion as well as classroom instruction and practical, hands-on skill sessions. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognized Red Cross certification, valid for two years.**
